Somos Mujeres Latinas is actively working on fundraising to grant scholarships for Latino women in different stages of their professional and personal growth. Based on our own experiences as women, we know that there are no ideal candidates, but rather a complex story behind women who want to grow along with improving the quality of life of their family and the community.
Therefore, SML seeks to integrate a scholarship and benefits program that considers all aspects of Latin women of this region. Soon we will announce the selection criteria for applying to the scholarships, in addition to the benefits delivered.

In 2018, SML fundraised and donated $4000 to el Corazon del Istmo to help indigenous woman on their first dance fundraising event.
Simposio de Mujeres Latinas thanks everybody who participated in the fundraising event to help the victims of the earthquakes in Mexico. The donations arrived at Oaxaca, Mexico in an area called Itsmo de Tehuantepec through Reconstruyamos el Corazón del Istmo. The families are using this to rebuild clay ovens, the main working tool and livelihood for the Isthmus indigenous women, which were left in a critical condition by the earthquakes.
